The City of Lakewood Judicial Nominating Committee will meet on a date to be determined to interview and select nominees for appointment by the Lakewood City Council for full-time Municipal Judge. The appointee for Municipal Judge will also be considered for appointment as Presiding Judge by the Lakewood City Council. The current Presiding Judge, Tom Elliott, will be retiring this summer. To be eligible for appointment as a Municipal Judge, the applicant must be admitted to the practice of law in the State of Colorado for a minimum of five years. The current annual salary for Municipal Judge is $111,009. The annual salary is $115,897 for Presiding Judge.
