Aug. 13, 2010 - Orientation for the United States District Court of Colorado: A Program for Attorneys Recently Admitted to Practice in Federal Court. Alfred A. Lincoln's Legacy of Equality & Liberty - To commemorate the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth, Our Courts speakers are available to make a 25-minute presentation that uses Lincoln's own words and the words of those who knew him to explain how Lincoln's commitment to the principles of equality and liberty transformed our nation and how they proceed, the setting of bail, the plea bargaining process, what really happens in a criminal trial, and how judges determine the appropriate sentences after a conviction.

Nov. 6, 2010 - The Federal Judges and Federal Magistrate Judges Roundtable, Donald R. Seawell Grand Ballroom, located at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, 1101 13th Street, in downtown Denver. 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The Roundtable offers a unique opportunity to engage in a series of roundtable discussions with the Federal Judges and Federal Magistrate Judges of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. There are no panelists or speakers for this program. Instead, attendees will each be assigned a rotation schedule, and this year, you will be able to pick your topics on a first come first serve basis. There will be a Judge, a Faculty committee moderator, and about nine attendees at each table.
