Plan now to join us for our First Annual CWBA LIFT Speed Mentoring Event.  Celebrate National Mentoring Month and help us kick-off our newly revamped CWBA LIFT Mentorship Program, by joining us for a Speed Mentoring Event on January 10, 2019.

Note: This registration form is for the CWBA's LIFT Mentorship Kick-off Party. You should attend if you are interested in being a CWBA LIFT mentor or mentee from February 1, 2019 through January 31, 2020. If you are interested in the mentorship program, but unable to attend the kick-off, please visit the CAMP Website and find the Colorado Women's Bar Association partnership program to learn more and apply. Also please email Leila Hock and let her know if you'd like to be a mentor, mentee, or both!

The event will feature a keynote talk by Jessica Brown on how mentorship has impacted her career - as a mentee and a mentor. After that, you will have the opportunity to join small groups of mentors and mentees for brief conversations facilitated by "Rockstar Mentors" including:

  • Beth McCann, CWBA Past President and Denver's first female District Attorney
  • Fay Matsukage, 2018 inductee into the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame and a founder of APABA Colorado
  • Jessica Brown, CWBA Past President and board member of the National Conference of Women's Bar Associations
  • Judge Alfred Harrell (Ret.), former Denver County Court judge;

  • Patricia Jarzobski, CWBA Past President, CBA Past President, and recent recipient of the DU Law Stars Award
  • Judge Theresa Spahn, CWBA Past President, Presiding Judge for the Denver County Court, and former Denver Mayoral Candidate.
  • Phil Weiser, Colorado Attorney General and former University of Colorado Law School Dean.

The evening will feature opportunities to network over wine, beer, and hors d'oeuvres, with plenty of time to complete your 2019 CWBA LIFT Program application.

To better prepare discussion topics, we ask that you select up to 5 topics that are relevant to you or that you have familiarity with when registering for the event. These topics will drive the conversation at each mentorship pod table.

Can't attend our Speed Networking Event, but still interested in mentorship? Email Leila Hock and let her know if you'd like to be a mentor, mentee, or both! Also please visit the CAMP Website and find the Colorado Women's Bar Association partnership program to learn more and apply.
