Set your coffee makers for 8:30 a.m. on February 4, 2022, for the next session of On What Grounds? A Live Virtual Leadership Café for 2022! On the first Friday of every month, join CWBA Secretary Emma Garrison and fellow CWBA members for coffee, connection, and career leadership lessons.

With Valentine’s Day upcoming, we thought it would be fun to use this virtual forum to celebrate “friend love”! We all need friends to help us get through the day, to celebrate our wins with us, and to be there when times are tough. Making and maintaining friendships as an adult with limited time and competing obligations can be very challenging.

At our next Café, you will hear from CWBA Board Members and great friends Vice-President Hetal Doshi, Inclusion Officer Leila Hock, and Public Policy Committee Co-Chair Alison Connaughty who will share their thoughts on cultivating and maintaining friendships and relying on friends for support, as well as their own friendship origin story. We want to hear your thoughts on friendship, too! How do you make friends in a new city? How do you stay connected with friends when you are swamped at work, adjusting to life as a new parent, or balancing family responsibilities? How do friendships change and evolve over time? How do you handle it when a friendship comes to an end?

On What Grounds? A Live Virtual Leadership Café invites authentic connection with your fellow CWBA members and leaders. We will chat about what is REALLY on your mind right now, and we will be there to support you, in both your personal and professional goals. “See” you there!
