The CWBA, IAALS, and friends of Alli invite you to attend a celebration of the tremendous life and legal career of Alli Gerkman.
Our friend Alli Gerkman passed away on August 31, 2019 at the age of 41. She had been valiantly fighting a rare cancer since her diagnosis in 2015 at the age of 36.
Alli was a CWBA member, the CWBA's 2019 Mary Lathrop Trailblazer Award winner, and CWBA board member from 2014-2018. She was a Senior Director at IAALS, the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System, and a leader at envisioning a legal system where new lawyers could better serve clients and the public had better access to justice. She spent years challenging the status quo -- and changing it.
