Women comprise only 22% of all equity partners. And very few of those partners are diverse women. It took almost two decades for female equity partner rates to creep up by a measly 6%.

Is partnership the right path for you?

Being a partner at a law firm can provide many rewards for women attorneys, including career fulfillment, economic freedom, and professional prestige. But the steps to becoming a partner vary widely from firm to firm and are often opaque, particularly for young lawyers and women.

CWBA’s Path to Partnership is intended to teach lawyers and law students the nuts and bolts of “making partner” and navigating the early years of partnership at a firm. In this 90-minute webinar, you will learn key concepts and vocabulary (equity vs. non-equity, financial requirements, etc.), and you will hear firsthand from female partners at different-sized law firms in Denver about their experiences becoming and being partners.

After attending Path to Partnership, participants will be better informed to think about whether becoming a partner in a law firm is the right path for them, and they will be better armed to ask the right questions about the partnership process, and what to expect from life as a partner, at their present and future employers.
