Set your coffee makers for 8:30 a.m. on April 7, 2023, for the next session of 2023 for On What Grounds? A Virtual Leadership Café. On the first Friday of every month, join CWBA President-Elect Emma Garrison and fellow CWBA members for coffee, connection, and career leadership lessons.

With heartbreaking news of school shootings, continued inflation, lingering uncertainties brought on by COVID-19, and the seismic disruption by the overturning of Roe v. Wade last summer, it’s hard not to feel uneasy, anxious, and hopeless. A recent Gallup Poll showed that Americans’ confidence in its institutions are at an all-time low.

This month’s On What Grounds guest CWBA Board Member Kiki Council is navigating her own increased loss of trust in the judicial system as a fierce advocate in the reproductive justice movement, both in her day job with The Lawyering Project and in her volunteer time. Kiki will share her experiences litigating and advocating in this ever-changing environment along with her tools for keeping hope alive and for tending to her own self-care.

We hope you will join us for an interactive discussion about your strategies for coping when you find it difficult to keep the faith.

On What Grounds? A Virtual Leadership Café invites authentic connection with your fellow CWBA members and leaders. We will chat about what is REALLY on your mind right now, and we will be there to support you, in both your personal and professional goals. “See” you there!
