This fireside chat between CWBA President Alison Connaughty and Rachel Cohen will examine the role of courage, integrity, and professional judgment in speaking up within the legal profession, particularly in challenging or high-stakes environments. Through a conversation grounded in lived experience, attendees will consider how lawyers can navigate ethical tension, institutional pressure, and professional risk while remaining committed to truth and the rule of law.

Presented by Nadine Strossen will examine some of the most significant and contested free speech issues facing lawyers, courts, and the public today, with particular attention to developments relevant to Colorado, women, and the legal profession.

Building a Women-Owned Law Firm: Using Your Voice to Shape Your Brand, Your Practice, and Your Impact 


This program focused on the practical and strategic considerations involved in creating and growing a values-driven women-owned law firm. Presented by Melissa Hailey and Elizabeth Hart, founding partners of Hailey | Hart PLLC.

Your Resilience Toolbox for Challenging Times 

It’s an interactive workshop designed to help legal professionals understand resilience from a psychological perspective and develop practical tools for navigating stress, loss, burnout, and ongoing professional demands. Presented by Megan Feldman Bettencourt, an author, speaker on resilience, and executive coach, the program will explain how resilience first emerged as a clinically observed quality and how it can be intentionally cultivated over time.
